Two months ago I had the pleasure of working with Phillip + Aubrey to capture their Engagement photos. The couple chose the setting of Downtown Raleigh because of their love for the Capital City. At first, it took a moment for the couple to open up, as they both seemed a little shy and reserved. However, we rocked it out! Both Phillip + Aubrey are naturals, and it shows in their engagement images. Please join in with me in wishing them nothing but success, as they continue to plan their future together.
Downtown Raleigh Engagement Session
Share with us how you two met:
Well , we met at our old church. I worked in the media department and had for some time before Phillip was even a member. One day I walked in and I saw him sitting in “my” seat (lol). I was a little miffed, but once I talked to Phillip and got to know him, we became friends. I’m sure I annoyed him because I would ask him questions during service even though he said I didn’t. I was dating someone else at the time, so it wasn’t until almost two years later that we began dating.
Tell us about your proposal:
It was during finals week of my last semester at NC State. Naturally, I was stressed between working two jobs and school and getting ready for life after graduation. After some studying one night I decided to take a break and rest. So I took a nap. I wake up to someone knocking at my door and its Phillip. I let him in but I’m a little upset he interrupted my nap. So we’re sitting and I just noticed he was acting…different. He’s usually pretty chill and quiet but that day he was lively and talkative. I couldn’t explain it so I finally just asked what had gotten into him. He just starts to tickle me and then he stands me up and swings me around and slips the ring on my finger. I immediately started crying and I said “so..??” And he said ” Will you?” and I said smilingly “Will I what?” and he said “Marry me?” And I said “Yes!” and cried some more. Of course, there was no more studying that night lol.How / why did you choose your engagement session location?
