As the father of two precious little girls, I understand many young ladies dream of being Disney princesses. As they grow up, for many of these women, their dreams of being a princess never really go away. As a wedding photographer, I love making that dream a reality, even if it’s only for a day. One great place to live your princess wedding day fantasy is at The Grand Marquise Ballroom in Garner. There are so many reasons to love this venue.

It’s Got That Staircase
You know the staircase. Pretty much every Disney princess walks down it into a gorgeous ballroom. The Grand Marquise Ballroom has that staircase, allowing you to make a grand entrance. Plus, it provides great photo opportunities. Pictures of the bride walking down the staircase are something you can treasure forever. Photos of the couple or the whole bridal party posing on the staircase are something to be treasured for years.
The staircase also works well for the actual wedding ceremony. The bride and groom can exchange vows on it with their bridal party by their sides. Because the guests are below, looking up at the couple, everyone gets a good seat to the ceremony.
The Setting
As the name says, it is a ballroom. If you’ve ever dreamed of a large ballroom wedding with plenty of room for dining and a spacious dance floor, you cannot go wrong with The Grand Marquise Ballroom. One fun feature about your dance floor is that it’s monogrammed specifically for the married couple. This North Carolina wedding venue also includes beautiful chandeliers, which are sure to make your wedding photographs look wonderful.
The ballroom can accommodate up to 400 guests, which likely means you won’t have to leave anyone off the guest list if you get married here or even if you just hold your reception at the venue. They have a rental cost for up to 200 guests and another for 200+ guests. To figure out how much you can expect to spend on your venue rental, get a good feel for how many guests you expect.

Picking the right vendors for your wedding can be hard, especially if you are not familiar with the companies. Luckily, The Grand Marquise Ballroom has a list of preferred vendors. We are included as a preferred photographer. You can also find wedding planners, bakeries, catering, florists, DJs, and other services on the venue’s list. Picking from this list allows you to know that the company is professional and that they are familiar with the venue. This will make your day go a lot smoother and allow you to relax and enjoy your wedding day.
The Pictures
Many of the great pictures at this venue were taken inside. From your staircase photos to pictures on the dance floor with the crystal chandeliers in the background, you are sure to love how your wedding photos turn out. Even the Grand Entry Parlor with its ornate columns has some wonderful photo opportunities. One great thing I love about this venue is that stunning pictures continue as you step outside. The beautiful trees in front of the venue provide great backdrops for outdoor wedding pictures.
I would never suggest a wedding venue that I have not visited myself (okay, maybe I would if I were looking to get invited to take wedding photos there).
