Venue

This classy estate has an old-world sophistication and charm. The Graylyn Manor House has several locations for indoor and outdoor ceremonies. The spectacular White Garden is a gorgeous venue for open-air weddings. It sits on the picturesque, southwestern lawn of the Manor House. This natural setting is reminiscent of fairy tales. The home has a grand stone gazebo, a beautiful terrace frame, and blooming, white flowers. The area is an outstanding setting for open-air wedding ceremonies.
The lovely Rose Garden is a classic French Cottage setting that is ideal for intimate wedding ceremonies for 50 guests.
Inside The Manor House, there is a charming Living Room Wing. It is a magnificent venue for an after-wedding ceremony. This sophisticated space has distinctive, hand-carved, 15th Century French doors in its main entrance hallway. The venue has stone terraces outdoors where couples can host a glamorous cocktail mixer or reception. The historic area has a ballroom called the Atlantis Room, where newlyweds can share a dance after the wedding.
The estate’s Dining Room Wing is an extraordinary setting for private receptions and sit-down dinners. This area includes The Main Dining Room, Dining Room Porch, and Library. This venue has a Neoclassical design features from the Adamesque period. The Library’s walls have Louis XV paneling imported from France.
The Manor House has 32 guest rooms that are magnificent for a secluded honeymoon after the wedding. They have warm and luxurious hotel accommodations that newlyweds will enjoy. Couples can choose from the Bowman Gray Suite, The Natalie Gray Suite, and private dining rooms.
Your out-of-town guests can stay at two, local hotel locations close to the Graylyn Estate. The Winston-Salem Marriott is a 15,000 sq. ft event space that is close to the city’s arts district, restaurants, and universities. This hotel also provides free Wi-Fi, a traditional steakhouse, and a fitness center.
The Doubletree Hotel is another exceptional facility located near Wake Forest University. The hotel is accessible from Highway 52 and I-40. It is only a short drive from the Sara Lee Soccer Complex, BB&T Ballpark. Winston-Salem University, and Salem College. The hotel has a fitness and business center, an outdoor pool with a fire pit, and complimentary Wi-Fi.
Packages
The Graylyn has several packages that will make your special day a memorable one. Their wedding ceremony fee includes the use of their space, white folding chairs, and a table for the guestbook. They allow brides to have their pictures taken in the Manor House or Graylyn’s grounds. Additionally, the manor provides space for rehearsals and dressing rooms. The price of the ceremony will depend on the number of guests you have.
You will also need to pay an event space rental fee. The Graylyn’s rental fees will depend on your wedding date and day of the week. Couples can schedule either an hors d’oeuvres or plated reception.
The venue requires a minimum food and beverage expenditure to host Saturday evening weddings in the Living Room Wing. These minimum requirements do not apply to wedding-related events held Sunday through Friday or during the day on Saturday. All food and beverage items must be provided by The Graylyn Estate, except for the wedding cake.

About the Graylyn Estate
The Graylyn Estate is a palatial wedding venue located off of I-40 in Winston-Salem, N. C. This immaculate, 55-acre property was the former residence of the Wachovia Bank and Trust Co., Inc. executive Bowman Gray and his wife, Nathalie. The couple commissioned the construction of the large estate in the 1920s. Builders completed the 60 room, 6,000 square foot residence in 1932. It is one of North Carolina’s biggest private houses.
Philanthropist Gordon Gray donated the property to Wake Forest University in 1972. The campus invested $6 million to restore the facility to its original grandeur in 1982. It transformed the building into a premier event and wedding venue. The renowned facility now has more than 85 private guest rooms and 15 meeting rooms.
Today, Graylyn ranks among the nation’s best executive conference centers in the United States.
