The Hall and Garden at Landmark: An Elegant Venue Choice

Congratulations! Getting engaged is such an exciting experience. As a wedding photographer, I love watching loving couples making a lifelong commitment to each other. I also understand that finding the right wedding venue can be hard. There are so many great wedding venues in our area, but no one location is perfect for every couple. One of my favorites, though, is The Hall and Gardens at Landmark.

Great Locations

This North Carolina wedding venue can accommodate up to 240 guests seated. While you can have an indoor ceremony in the ballroom, many couples choose to have an outdoor ceremony in the gardens where they can get married with a beautiful gazebo in the background. This also allows for beautiful photos on the nearby bridge over the Koi pond. Some couples also choose to get married on the front steps of the building, which provides a great wedding backdrop option.

The spacious ballroom can be used for indoor ceremonies when the weather doesn’t cooperate and is an excellent place for your wedding reception. The large chandeliers help to create an elegant atmosphere for your reception. If you want a larger reception, there is room for up to 400 guests standing cocktail style in the ballroom.

A standing cocktail-style reception will eliminate your dance floor. Plus, many of your guests will likely prefer the sit-down reception option. Because of that, I would suggest keeping your guest list at no more than about 240 people. This allows for elegance and fun at your reception.

Special Bride and Groom Areas

One thing that I’ve found that many couples like about this venue are that there are special areas for the bride and her party and for the groom and his groomsmen. The bride and her bridesmaids have a Bridal Lounge where they can get ready for the day. It includes three vanities and six bathrooms as well as changing rooms. The Groom’s Lounge provides a great area where the groom and his groomsmen can get ready and then relax on the leather sofas while watching TV.

Vendors

Landmark offers an All-Inclusive Catering service. They will provide everything from the hors-d’oeuvres to the side dishes and main entrees. They also provide drinks. This makes coordinating easy since your catering services are right there.

Some couples choose to go with a different catering service. The Hall and Gardens at Landmark have a list of approved caterers who they have worked within the past. If you do not go with the venue’s catering services, you are required to pick a caterer from this approved list. You can be assured that these people are professionals and that they have experience working at this venue.

Landmark also provides wedding packages that include services such as the cake, flowers, and décor. If needed, they can provide suggestions for services based upon vendors they have worked within the past. The venue does require that you hire a wedding coordinator for your wedding. They can provide this service, or you can bring along your own professional wedding coordinator.

Picture Opportunities

Of course, great pictures are an important part of any wedding. There are so many opportunities for great pictures here. Some of the places you are sure to want to get your picture taken are the gazebo, the bridge over the Koi pond, and in front of the property’s gorgeous fountain. Indoor photos in the spacious ballroom are also a must. I love that this property looks beautiful during the day and that it provides excellent pictures when it’s lit-up at after dark.
