An engagement session is likely the first professional photos a couple will have of each other. For some, it can cause some anxiety, while others look forward to their session with excitement. I approach the engagement session (and weddings as well) knowing that my couples look to me to help them along the way. My couples are regular, everyday people. Most don’t feel comfortable in front the a camera. My goal is to help them reach a level of comfort to allow their personalities and natural interactions to come through. Photographing Fabian + Tacoya’s UNC Chapel Hill engagement session similar. I picked up early on that Tacoya felt right at home embraced by Fabian. Therefore I made sure she spent plenty of time in her happy place!
